Bouchard has her work cut out for her because the Church is a hotbed of paranormal activity. What’s worse, she’ll have to do it with David as a backup. It’s not that she doesn’t like him – he’s smart, capable, and handsome – it’s just that their idea of what qualifies as supernatural is different. Even so, they soon realize they’re best when they’re in a partnership, even if they don’t always agree on how to proceed. And then there are the mysteries themselves: the nun who sees visions of a possessed priest entering Church grounds; the archbishop who begins wailing at an empty coffin; and the girls who levitate in unison during prayer service.

What are the difficulties they face in the series ?

The series deals with the Catholic Church. Though the actors who play Catholic Priests have declared themselves not to be practicing Catholics, some viewers still find it difficult to understand their characters’ faith. As far as Bouchard and Acosta, they’ve been raised in different churches and teach Catholicism differently. This has sparked some debate over which of them is the most faithful in their belief system. Moreover, none of the cast members who portray priests are actually Catholic priests. This has lead to some controversy over whether actors are portraying a religious belief or acting out a role that represents it.

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

The antagonists of the series are the supernatural events and people. They’re always looking to challenge Acosta and Bouchard. Most are mysterious, some are scary and most often they’re motivated by demonic possession which can occur in multiple ways . In some cases, the possession leads to a possessed person harming themselves, others or the Catholic Church. Bouchard and Acosta try to avoid conflict by being critical of each other in order to get their point across properly, not because they don’t like each other.

In general, they try to keep their disagreements professional. The main theme of the series is a battle between science and religion. This is illustrated by Bouchard’s character. She plays the role of the skeptic and holds her reservations about whether an event could be real or not. In one episode, for example . She and Acosta investigate a supposed miracle . But she struggles to accept that it could be real when it contradicts everything she knows about physics.

What are the epic scenes ?

The scene that draws the most attention in the series is when Bouchard and Acosta are chased by a possessed girl they didn’t encounter while investigating the next day. They run around the building with their flashlights, trying to avoid catching sight of her. The chase scene is similar to that of being chased by a ghost . Eventually, Bouchard and Acosta come across her  . She’s wearing a white dress and has been thrown through a window. As Acosta surveys his surroundings for any sign of more evil spirits  . He notices that the windows have louvres over them in an attempt to keep out intruders. The possessed girl suddenly starts scratching at him . Before flying back into the window she was just thrown out of.

Would you recommend watching this ?

Yes, I would recommend watching. Though the series isn’t perfect . It really makes an effort to work hard to make sure that viewers understand the story . Also, viewers’ attention is continuously engaged by initial horror  . And suspense which is a key ingredient of good horror. This is because it produces a sense of dread . Throughout the episodes.
