Netflix’s Crime Drama Series ‘You’ Season 4 Part 1 Will Not Arrive In January It’s been a while since we had some good Netflix and chill, but it looks like we’re finally getting that again. Netflix announced that the next installment of their crime drama series “You” will not be coming out until January 2023. But all is not lost because you can still binge-watch the first three seasons from beginning to end in preparation for the long wait, and perhaps catch up on some other fantastic TV shows while you’re at it. The upcoming season 4 is going to be split in two, and the first episodes from season 4 are set to arrive in February. the series follows the story of Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager who goes by the moniker “Guac” on social media. It’s no spoiler that Joe is actually the “lovesick stalker who uses social media to manipulate a woman into falling in love with him, only to be swept up in his own web of lies when she wants to break it off,” according to Netflix’s official synopsis. The series stars Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, Elizabeth Lail as Guinevere Beck, and Shay Mitchell as Peach Salinger. Who is in the cast? You can stream it on Netflix by taking a subscription. What is the series about? Without giving too much away, You is about a young charismatic guy who is obsessed with a girl. He gets her number and begins the whole manic stalking thing. The series does well in letting us into the characters but it’s the story that holds us. I guess you can say that Joe is our narrator. We want to know what will happen next from his point of view and his actions actually feel genuine, at least from my perspective as an outsider looking in. It’s also notable that Guinevere is well-developed as a character in her own right and she has her own unique strengths. You will care about both of them and are hopefully rooting for them to get it together. It’s super creepy, but we can’t look away. The show manages to balance the tension between the psychological thriller and comedy quite well. What fans are expecting from season 4? Netflix’s You season 4 is only halfway through filming, so there is still a lot we don’t know about the upcoming season. In the final season, we will see joe is starting a new life as a professor. According to the official synopsis released by Netflix, Joe will get involved with “a new romantic entanglement that raises suspicions and puts his past into question.” The synopsis also reads that Joe “builds up a new life for himself in London, far away from the scene of his past crimes, but must quickly contend with unsettling developments in his new romance as well as the reappearance of an old flame. What makes this series interesting? If you haven’t seen the first season yet and want to know more about this series, it’s been described as “a love story for the ages.” I especially like the depiction of Joe. He’s a very charismatic individual who seems charming and fun at the beginning, but there is a dark side to him that slowly comes out. I love how he misinterprets and accuses everyone around him of being part of his troubles. The acting here is excellent and appropriately creepy all at once! This can be watched as a series on Netflix, though we’re waiting for season 4 to arrive. Who can watch this series? If you’re a fan of crime dramas, then you’ll definitely enjoy this one. It’s perfect for people who like watching creepy things and will make you question your own relationships. It’s nice to see a representation of some just plain-weird people in the media lately. That’s what makes this show so great.
