My Kind of Country, an Apple TV music competition series, has hired three new talent scouts, the company said on Friday. The show, which will debut on March 24, is executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Musgrave, who both star in it.
The worldwide hunt for the next country music superstar now includes Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton, and Orville Peck. Contestants will travel to Nashville to refine their sounds.
One major prize from Apple Music will be up for grabs with each scout’s roster. The platform will help the winner and promote their song. Eight episodes of My Kind of Country will follow the musicians.
The CMA named Allen Artist of the Year in 2021 after he published his debut album in 2018. In 2021, Guyton issued her debut album, and in 2022, she was crowned TIME’s Breakout Artist of the Year.
Peck signed a record deal with Columbia Records after releasing his debut album in 2019. Since 2008, Musgraves has been a professional performer.
