Stranger things happen around each of them. Find out how it all unfolds in this exciting graphic novel series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez.” I wanted to do something old-fashioned, where you had this big, fat doorstop of a book that you could really dive into and get lost in,” Hill says about the series. “It’s kind of the opposite of my novels. I actually wrote it to take a break from writing novels.”

Locke and Key tells the tale of the Locke family — Tyler, Kinsey and Bode — who have recently lost their dad in a tragic accident. The family moves in to their old family estate on Lovecraft Island and discover an ominous door in the basement. A little investigation reveals that each of the Locke children has a “key” — an ability to open doors to magical worlds inside the house. Bode is a ghost boy who can pass through walls, Tyler has a “mind-key” that lets him read minds and Kinsey can tell when people are about to die.

The cast include Emilia Jones , Connor Jessup , Darby Stanchfield , Willa Holland , Amy Acker , Sean Astin , Grace Park , Elizabeth Reaser and Chris Parnell . The main focus of the series is on Locke’s Key, Kinsey. She has an ability to open doors to alternate universes, which soon turn out to be portals into other worlds. These keys are powerful and can be used by anyone who happens to find them, though only Locke children can pass through the doors into these worlds.
