In a land where the shadows find their own way, and only the light of stars might pierce through the darkness, Rose Hathaway didn’t ask to be a part of it. They say she was born before her time, with fangs for teeth and blood in her veins. But that’s just not true; it’s just what people say about vampires. Rose could never get a straight answer out of anyone who knows the truth – not even Lissa herself.

What is the plot of the story ?

According to the official publisher’s website, Vampire Academy is about a girl named Rose who is half human and half vampire. She discovers that vampires are real, and she has to protect her friend from both internal and external enemies. The series takes place in what appears to be a modern-day United States. There are indications that it is set in some sort of alternate history. For example, Russia has been divided into “princely states” called zemblas.

The cast include Zoey Deutch , Dominic Sherwood , Danila Kozlovski , Olga Fonda , Gabriel Byrne, Sarah Hyland , and Joely Richardson. Zoey Deutch as Rose Hathaway, a dhampir who is training to be guardian of Lissa Dragomir (of the vampire branch of the royal Moroi family). She is sarcastic, blunt and a Party Girl that often gets into trouble. Dominic Sherwood as Dimitri Belikov, a dhampir and guardian-in-training at St. Vladimir’s Academy as well as Rose’s love interest and former childhood friend.

What are the difficulties they face ?

The primary antagonist is a warrior called Lissa’s nemesis, and the other warlocks in Lissa’s life. The second antagonist is Dimitri, who is dating Rose, but who will not commit to her and she ends their relationship. The third antagonist is the Moroi Queen, Sofia Rostova, who wants to kill Rose. There are many others as well that can be encountered later in the series which can be seen as villains.

What are the epic scenes ?

The series starts with an attack at the Academy, in which some students are killed. This is when Rose comes to know about her vampire identity. The scene that has been talked about most is from Book 3, “Frostbite”, where Lissa rescues Dimitri from his evil father, who wants to use him as a tool to help rule the Moroi race. She calls upon Spirit, a type of magic that only spirit users can perform. The magic wakes dormant volcanoes, which surround them and trap their father in his prison forever.

Who is the most loved character ?

Many fans of the series believe that Rose Hathaway, the main character is the most loved character. Rose carries out her duties as a guardian and has many other responsibilities to look after. She cares deeply for her best friend, Lissa Dragomir, and has to fight against both internal and external enemies to protect her.
