The Umbrella Academy Season 2: Plot, Twist, Suspense, Action and everything you need to know.

First off, Annie Wersching joins the cast as Number Five’s estranged sister Vanya who will come into contact with her long lost Hargreeves siblings at some point during the new season. And secondly, we found out that Colm Feore (Canadian actor) will be joining Season 2 as an adversary in Sir Reginald’s life. Check out his role in The November Man (2014), which includes a brief glimpse of Sir Reginald’s company “Hargreeves Corporation” on the wall behind him!

What is the plot of the story ?

The new season will follow Vanya as she travels to her home country of Russia in search of answers about the Hargreeves family. This leads to a dark family secret surrounding the origins of their superpowers. The new villain is known as The Terror and has a group called The Inner Council that Sir Reginald once counted himself among. They’ll all be pulling the strings of what’s happening, and will threaten the world.

Who is in the cast ? What role did each character portray ?

The cast include Aidan Gallagher, Elliot Page , David Cast eral, Ellen Page, Alison Arngrim, Cameron Britton and Toby Regbo. Aidan Gallagher portrayed the role of ‘number six’ in the series. He is a black belt in karate and has the ability to see through anything ( clothing, steel etc. ). Number Six has a pet dog named Klaus Von Hargreeves that also displays superhuman traits similar to those of his master. Elliot Page portrayed the role of ‘number five’ in the series. He is able to mimic any movement after having watched it for just a few minutes. Number Five leaves the academy in the first season due to the fact that his ability makes him feel like an outsider from those around him which he refers to as ‘freaks’. David Castran portrays the role of ‘number four’ in the series.

What are the difficulties they face ?

Number Seven (Ben) is unable to stop thinking about his adoptive mother, Sir Reginald’s longtime lover and the one who told him about his powers. Number Five (Allison) is experiencing a mental breakdown and must find her way back to reality by finding answers regarding her superpowers and her brother’s disappearance.

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

The central antagonist is known as the ” Terror. ” He used to be a member of The Inner Council and has a power that allows him to make anything he touches explode. This power however, makes it very difficult for him to deal with things like debris, clothing and other such things.

What are the epic scenes ?

In the first season, we got to see things like a giant sky umbrella, the mid-air battle between the first four members of The Umbrella Academy and some of the members of The Inner Council. In this season, we will get to see more moments such as a hospital scene where one of The Circle’s own dies which prompts another member to go into a mindless state. We will also get to see a flash back scene involving Sir Reginald remembering something that happened years ago. Number Five or Allison is the most loved character of the series. She has suffered a mental breakdown and it will be interesting to see how the other members of the Hargreeves family try to deal with her situation.

Would your recommend watching this ?

Yes. I think this season will be better than the first one. The first season was fun but it lacked a certain element that would make it stand out from other comic book shows or superheroes . Thanks for reading !
