The Horror of Dolores Roach: Marc Maron is all set to join this amazon series.

She’s a convicted felon with “a history of mental illness, drug addiction, and weapons charges.” She finds a world that has changed drastically from what she left behind. That was the year that technology corporations became much more powerful and ubiquitous; that was also the year people’s jobs were replaced by robots (luckily for her).

What is the plot of the story ?

Well, Dolores Roach is a massage therapist who has to live in the basement of an empanada shop, run by her old stoner buddy, Luis. And she’s recovering from a break up with her boyfriend, who happens to be one of the “bartenders” (a coworker of hers). When you’re at a low point in your life and everything seems to be going wrong, don’t worry, things will work out. And secondly, don’t date anyone from a corporate chain restaurant that’s constantly playing soft music over speakers throughout the entire building.

She wants to open her own spa, but she can’t because of all the legal trouble she’s started to encounter after getting out of jail. The head of the empanada shop is a successful businessman who owns two shops and is about to open another one. He has to deal with a lot of things, including his wife (Judy Reyes). His wife won’t stop nagging him constantly, mostly because she’s worried he’ll cheat on her just like his sister did many years ago.

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

The antagonist is the Head of the Empanada Shop, who appears to be a successful businessman with two shops and an upcoming chain of restaurants. He will be played by John Larroquette , who himself is a successful standup comedian (who has won several awards for his performance in his shows). The main reason he wants Dolores out of his shop is because she’s her ex-girlfriend from jail; not because she’s a convicted felon or anything.

What are the epic scenes ?

The first epic scene is when the empanada shop is really busy and the only available massage table is taken. This scene includes Dolores, who sees a bigger chance to get her own business going if she opens an empanada parlor. She tries to get Luis’ help, but he’s not interested because he’s married to Madeline (Isaac Hayes’ wife). The next scene is when Dolores visits her ex-boyfriend, who just broke up with her and also happens to work at the empanada shop as a “bartender.” They first meet when he says that she should be in jail instead of him; however, this is not the case.

Who is the most loved character ?

Dolores Roach. She’s a convicted felon and has to live in the basement of an empanada shop. She’s also a massage therapist but has to work at the empanada shop as well. But she’s really nice and optimistic about getting her business going, despite the fact that she hasn’t been able to set up shop yet (because of legal trouble).

Would you recommend watching this ?

I would recommend this movie because it’s better than most movies made nowadays. It has a strong message, but doesn’t shove it down your throat. It’s pretty much just a comedy with some drama mixed in. It’s about a convicted felon trying to get her life back in order after getting out of jail, so it definitely isn’t for everyone .
