Netflix’s Upcoming Detective Thriller Series ‘Lockwood & Co’

If you love a good detective story and a touch of the supernatural, Netflix has your number. The streaming service will be releasing its new series Lockwood & Co. on October 5th, and it looks like it’s going to take us for a whirl. Lockwood & Co is loosely based on an upcoming book by author Jonathan Stroud, which focuses on three “investigators” in Victorian England who are forced to tackle the rampant paranormal activity that was wreaking havoc in their area. While the show was initially supposed to be a movie it has since been passed over to Netflix as an 8-episode series. Not only will Lockwood & Co. grab your attention with its elaborate set design and costumes, but it also boasts a large cast of young actors who are already popular on screens and in books. Lockwood & Co. is a British television series based on the book series “The Lockwood & Co.” by Jonathan Stroud. It is also known as “A Series of Unfortunate Events” or “Lockwood”.

What is the series about? 

Lockwood & Co. is a television drama that is based on a book series by Jonathan Stroud. It is set in Victorian-era London and centers on teenagers George, Lucy, and Anthony who are investigators trying to make ends meet. When they stumble upon an old ghost-hunting company that has been closed down, they find themselves with a new career battling the ghosts of the past. With supernatural elements like ghosts and monsters, Lockwood & Co looks like it will contain all the classic tropes of a spooky detective story with a Victorian flare. three young adults who have dreams of becoming “haunted investigators” and end up getting their own ghost-hunting company when they stumble upon an old ghost-hunting company that has been closed down. The show will feature elaborate sets, costumes, actors, and storylines with twists.

Why should you watch this?

 Lockwood & Co. looks like it will be a spooky and thrilling series. The plot appears to feature an elaborate set design, costumes, actors, and storylines that hint at the supernatural but are still grounded in reality. It also has a large cast of young actors, so the show should be packed with action and suspense. It even has flashbacks to Victorian times, which adds a much-needed touch to the past. Who is the director?

Joe Cornish is a British film director, screenwriter, and producer who has made his name with many other projects in the film industry. He is a former stand-up comedian who gained his first directing Attack the Block films that he made after graduating from the  Bournemouth Film School.
