Mind Over Murder : A documentary about a deadly Murder Case .

Many of us find the idea of killer minds utterly terrifying. Serial killers, rapists, and arsonists wreak havoc on society and are thought to have an absolute disregard for human life. Accounts of individuals who commit these acts seem to exist only in the realm of fiction; what could someone living amongst us actually be capable of? The story that follows delves into six accounts chronicled by individuals who were all convicted for the murder, but what happened between some people’s minds during the crime is shockingly complex and difficult to comprehend.

What is the plot of the story ?

Maura Vann, author of Mind Over Murder, originally wrote a piece detailing one particular crime and how the participants in it were caught. However, she has since expanded the project into two separate books, both detailing various cases where murderers’ minds came into play. The first book focuses on the 1989 case of Jason Galloway, who stabbed his victims to death in their own home. Galloway was described as a troubled individual whose family often found him to be normal, but also as someone who was very evasive and short- tempered when he did not receive love or attention from them.

Who is in the cast ? What role did each character portray ?

The cast include Cara D’Adamo , Scott Watson , Karen Puccio, Bethany Stephens , and Lisa Smith . Scott Watson is the author of Chasing Darkness – a book about his fight against mental illness. However, some people just want to forget they were caught up in such a situation and do not wish to relive it by speaking with Maura.

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

The antagonist in Mind Over Murder is the killer’s mind. Maura Vann states that these individuals had bouts of depression, schizophrenia, and other mental disorders. She uses all six cases to help the reader better understand these disorders and why something like murder occurs for some people who suffer from them.

What are the epic scenes ?

The epic scenes in Mind Over Murder include the incident in which Galloway stabbed his mother during an argument with her over being sent to a mental hospital. When he was not incarcerated for this act, he set fire to his mother’s home and then killed her. The author also details Galloway’s trial, which lasted for fourteen days.

Who is the most loved character ?

The most loved character in the book is Galloway, who Maura Vann says was “the heart of the story”. She also felt that his mother suffered from a condition called schizoaffective disorder. His mother, who had suffered from mental illness for most of her life, would often be hospitalized for her ailment when she would not take her medication. When she was released and went home, Galloway’s mother died due to severe burns that Galloway caused on himself to cover up his crime.

Most crime books are thought to be intriguing, but they must be able to capture the attention of their readers to do well as literature. Maura Vann has accomplished that with Mind Over Murder, by following a group of criminals and having each tell their own story. Thanks for reading !
