Blade Runner: Enhanced version of the long waited series is finally Out Digitally.

The movie follows the life of a blade runner, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford). In a world where androids have replaced humans, Deckard is tasked with eliminating rogue androids. With or without his consent, he will either face them head on or let them go. These rogue androids are out to kill anything that Walkman wearing humanity could ever want.

What is the plot of the story ?

The plot of the story is very deep, there are many questions that remain unanswered that can have a number of interpretations. This makes the movie very interesting even now when it was released in 1982. The real reason for Deckard’s mission remains unknown until the final scene, where we see Deckard making a choice between saving his own skin or stopping Rachael and her child from being killed by the police; only then do we know whether he has saved or betrayed his own kind.

What are the epic scenes ?

The way the movie depicts replicants is quite unique and impactful. The movie starts by giving a glimpse of what it means to be human and how replicants are closer to that definition than humans with all their technology. It is an incredible expression of the human condition of being a mixture, a mixture of water and metal (humans are already a mixture of water and metal, but in this movie it seems that metal was given higher priority, as if being made of pure metal equates to being more human) .

Who is the most loved character ?

The most loved character was definitely Roy Batty ; played by Rutger Hauer. He became a memorable character with his smooth talk, cold blooded killing sprees, life long pursuit of his maker and his unyielding desire for more life . Seeing Deckard’s choice between saving Rachael played by Sean Young from being killed by the police or saving his own skin . Ultimately he chose to save her , proving that there is still humanity left in him after all .
