Two very different depictions of aging can be seen in “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” and “The Force Awakens.”
When Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan premiered on May 25th, 1982, the story is told of a vengeful old man spurring Scotty to betray the Enterprise and kill Kirk was unimaginable. But thirty-five years later, with a wave of nostalgia for Star Trek in full swing following decades without any new episodes, Wrath became inevitable as “Khan” took on a whole new meaning with its release. The film’s stark contrast between past and present caught many people by surprise. In the opening minutes when Admiral Kirk meets young Spock, the film jumps ahead to twenty years later with Spock in command of a starship and Kirk as a rambling old man. The reboot-only fans who decided to see the film expecting to watch Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan have been righteously pissed off.

The storyline of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Many people have seen the original cinematic debut of this film and many others are looking for a new way to watch it. In the film, Khan sets a trap for Admiral Kirk, but instead, his nemesis ends up marrying Khan’s wife. Will the Admiral be able to handle his new wife? What will happen when Khan returns from exile? The complete plot of “The Wrath of Khan” is described in this article.
The story starts when the admiral of the Federation, James T. Kirk is taking a leave from his duties; he is on his way to a space station with a friend. They are having a drink at the bar when an unusual man sits down next to Kirk. The man’s name is Khan and he tells Kirk that he would like to join him on his vacation, but he says that they must hurry because there are only three days left before Khan will be called back into service by his superiors.
The Star Trek actor who successfully negotiated his way out of being given credit
Nicholas Meyer, the man who directed Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, has revealed on his Twitter account that he negotiated his credit out of appearing in the film. Star Trek II had a few actors that were uncredited for their roles, including George Takei and Walter Koenig. Meyer said he was originally credited as “Unknown” in the lower-left corner of the credits for directing and co-writing the script for Star Trek II. However, he wanted to be credited as a co-writer. Meyer ultimately negotiated his way in front of the actor playing Leonard McCoy and got a credit for “Story, Screenplay and Screen Story” instead.
Also, Meyer revealed this information during an exclusive interview with All Access at Comic-Con International on Saturday. Meyer worked on the script for the original Star Trek episode “The Trouble with Tribbles,” which was directed by Robert Wise in 1967, 20 years before Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan was released.
