Tom Welling is planning a Smallville rewatch podcast

Tom Welling, who played Clark Kent on the hit TV show “Smallville,” is coming back with a podcast! The podcast will be called “Smallville Rewatch Podcast.” Every week Welling will talk about the episodes in order of their original airing on ABC.

“I hadn’t heard of podcasts before, but I’m excited to be exploring a new medium,” Welling said. “It’ll be fun to revisit these episodes and the series I’m most known for.”

Welling said he already has ideas for special guests, including people like Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor) and John Schneider (Jonathan Kent).

Introduction to Smallville

This article is about how the TV show Smallville started given its young cast that was mainly composed of newcomers. It also covers how the show adapted to allow for more stories and how it changed from a soap opera to a mystery series. The article also reflects on why it ended after nine seasons and what happened in the years following its cancellation.

The WB Television Network announced it was developing a TV series based on the DC Comics superhero Superman. The announcement came after Warner Bros. Television turned down an offer by ABC and producer Michael Gersh to produce a series called “Superman: The Next Generation”. “Generation” would be an hour-long action-adventure show that would focus on Superman’s teenage years growing up in Smallville, Kansas, as Clark Kent with his adoptive parents Jonathan and Martha Kent.

The storyline of Smallville

The story of Smallville begins in 1960s Kansas, where young Clark Kent witnesses the meteor containing Kryptonian crystals crashing in the field. For decades after its crash, Clark is attacked by kryptonite-infested meteors that leave him fatally wounded. His father Jonathan Kent and his grandfather Samuel set out to find its source and come home with a seemingly weak little alien boy named Kal-El, for his safety.

The Kents raise Clark as their own, while he is tutored and trained by his father the most, in case the world should ever need a hero. When Clark turns 18, he comes to the small town of Smallville on Earth to realize his destiny as an earth-human hybrid: Superman.

Clark falls in love with divorced Lana Lang and begins loving life on Earth after years of hiding from the world. He soon realizes that the meteor’s crystals will destroy him if he stays there for more than a year.
