The storyline of Smallville

The story of Smallville begins in 1960s Kansas, where young Clark Kent witnesses the meteor containing Kryptonian crystals crashing in the field. For decades after its crash, Clark is attacked by kryptonite-infested meteors that leave him fatally wounded. His father Jonathan Kent and his grandfather Samuel set out to find its source and come home with a seemingly weak little alien boy named Kal-El, for his safety.

The Kents raise Clark as their own, while he is tutored and trained by his father the most, in case the world should ever need a hero. When Clark turns 18, he comes to the small town of Smallville on Earth to realize his destiny as an earth-human hybrid: Superman.

Clark falls in love with divorced Lana Lang and begins loving life on Earth after years of hiding from the world. He soon realizes that the meteor’s crystals will destroy him if he stays there for more than a year.
