The Primal Season is a TV show about people who, for varying reasons, live in caves all year round to pursue a primal living, a way of living close to our animal origins with minimal dependence on modern gadgets and survival skills that first appeared during the Paleolithic era (1).
Some people, like the protagonists of The Primal Season, live in caves because they already live in a cave and/or wilderness retreat. Others, like the protagonist of The Primal Season 2, discovered primal living. Also, through an online forum for those interested in primal living.
The main characters of this show are part of a community that calls itself the PCC (Primal Cave Community). However, it is important to note that this is not an official organization.

The storyline of The Primal Season 2
The Primal Season 2 is a psychological drama that revolves around the life of a middle-aged plastic surgeon, Dr. Matthew Ross, who has it all – good looks, wealth, and three beautiful children. When his daughter Olivia is killed during a terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in New York City. He takes his family to live in Kenya to take care of orphaned gorillas. And elephants during their first month of life. They come back six months later when they are strong enough to face reality and deal with their grief together.
The story is based on the actual events of Dr. Ross’ life, beginning with the death of his daughter Olivia in September 2001 and ending six months later in October 2002. The connection between gorillas and elephants is also true to life. A portion of the children’s stories is based on actual events. The gorilla/elephant hideaway scenes were filmed as part of a real orphanage’s program to help raise money for the orphans in Uganda.

Cartoon Network Studios and Warner Bros. Animation have inked a two-year overall deal with Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of beloved animated series like “Samurai Jack”, “Dexter’s Laboratory”, and “Star Wars: Clone Wars”.
Tartakovsky is known for his signature style and humor, which he will be bringing to new projects under the deal.
“Genndy Tartakovsky is a master of the medium and he has produced some of the most popular, critically acclaimed, and award-winning television shows,” said Sam Register, president, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series. “He also has a unique ability to capture children’s imaginations as well as their minds in his animation style and humor. We are incredibly excited to be working with him on new animated projects for 2018 and beyond.
