If you’re looking for a good Halloween read, Hocus Pocus 2 is the book for you. Three sisters, Poppy, Thistle and Primrose are trying to create a recipe for pumpkin soup in their house in Salem. During the process they use some magical ingredients that cause the three witches to appear in the kitchen. After that it’s a game of cat and mouse as they try to get rid of the witches before they cast a spell on Halloween night.

The cast include Bette Midler , Sarah Jessica Parker , Kathy Najimy , and Alfre Woodard . Each of the main characters in the book were portrayed by an actress or an actor. The Sanderson Sisters played by Kathy Najimy , Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker were the witches looking to take over Salem, Massachusetts. Poppy played by Thora Birch was a young girl who had witch blood running through her veins. Now only if she could use her powers to stop the witches. Thistle, played by Chloe Grace Moretz was Poppy’s sister who was always snarky and tried to keep Primrose and Poppy out of trouble.

What are the difficulties they face ?

Some of the difficulties the sisters faced are: finding a way to stop the Sanderson Sisters, and trying to stop Poppy from finding out about them. Finding a way to keep them from bringing back their old selves was also hard for everyone. The magic and mystery genre is a great one for Halloween stories because it’s always fun to look for signs and clues that give away what’s going on before it happens.

What are the themes ?

The theme is the role of women and their power. The sisters have a hard time dealing with the fact that they have mysterious powers and it’s not easy dealing with their newfound life. Also, each sister has her own growing up period as she learns how to control her powers and how to use them for good. This book also shows you how strong women can be.

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

The antagonist was the Sanderson sisters who wanted to take over Salem, Massachusetts and use their powers to slowly kill all of its inhabitants. The Sanderson Sisters had to deal with not only the sisters putting a stop to them, but also had to deal with their own problems.
The Sanderson Sisters were trying a spell that would take away all of their powers and send them back in time. Their motive was so that they would be able to live a normal life without hurting anyone or anything.

What are the epic scenes ?

The main epic scenes were the ones that took place in the kitchen and how they were trying to get rid of the Sanderson Sisters. The first epic scene was in the kitchen when everyone was trying to get rid of their powers except for Poppy. The main character was Poppy. She had a lot of heart and wasn’t afraid to stand up for what she thought was right. She also learned to use her powers without hurting herself or anyone else.
