When the inexplicable and catastrophic rupture in the space-time continuum destabilized the universe, an ordinary high school student found herself with extraordinary abilities. She was strong enough to stop a speeding bus without breaking a sweat, but when she came across something as terrifying as a multidimensional vortex that threatened to consume time and space, she knew it was up to her.

Miura is a seemingly ordinary high school student who is well liked by many. However, one day a rift in space-time appears at her school and she taps into her latent powers, struggling to deal with it. Her friend Yui comes to help her and together they find themselves in another world. In this new dimension, things seem familiar at first – but there are some important aspects that differ from our world too.

Michelle Yeoh plays the Mother who is the leader of this dimension. She is very powerful and dangerous. She’s been around for a while watching the earth and seeing what people do with a lot of power. She’s not one to stand down so easily. She has been protecting the city, keeping it safe from all invaders including evil super humans. Although she has strong physical capabilities she believes in using technology and weapons to defend herself unlike her daughter, who relies mostly on her own strength and more than enough skills to take care of herself.

What are the difficulties they face ?

In the beginning, Miura has a hard time adjusting to life in this new world. Yui is more comfortable with these kinds of things and pretty much acts as the leader of this group on their journey to find out what’s going on. Miura slowly adapts as they continue on their journey and finds that she is more capable than she thought. The themes of the story are Duality. Duality is a concept found within many religions and Eastern philosophies such as Taoism, Buddhism and Hinduism. It means that we are made up of body and mind, or spirit and matter. When we fall in love, for example, the physical part of our body is drawn to the inner spiritual part that we care about.

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

The main antagonist is The Mother. She has been around for a while and witnessed an event called the “Binary Divide”. This happened a long time ago and affected everything in the universe, breaking it down into two parts. The Mother works to maintain order while her daughter works against her to try to bring chaos. There are a lot of battles happening but readers are only able to follow them in small bites. The story is difficult to understand at the beginning and includes many mysterious elements that include aliens, magic and science. There’s also a lot of action which keeps the reader engaged.

Who is the most loved character ?

The most loved character is Miura. She’s a sweet girl who is very kind and has a lot of compassion for others. She was good looking before this event but now she has developed her body according to their needs. This is necessary in order to survive in this new world, so she tries to keep herself as attractive as possible, but also tries to be comfortable and not have an awkward figure because of the difference in their world.

Would you recommend watching this ?

I wouldn’t recommend watching this because there are still a lot of unanswered questions at the end of the story. However, I would recommend reading it if you love manga and sci-fi. This is an interesting story that’s hard to understand at first but as readers read on, they will understand more and more of what happened. Thanks for reading !
