Elvis Presley’s Global Box Office Exceeds $113.5 Million

Elvis

Elvis had been the king of rock-n-roll for a decade, but he had now grown disenchanted with his image. Between 1973 and 1977, Elvis made nearly 10 films — more than any other Hollywood star in history. It was during this period that he started to experiment with his sound, collaborating with songwriters like John Denver and Anne Murray.

His most successful film at the box office was 1975’s ‘TickleMe’, which made $2 million on budget of $1 million. Source: Elvis Presley – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The year 1977 was a milestone in Presley’s career that saw him record and release ‘Way Down’, his first studio album in over two years. The album also featured his last top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart- ‘Way Down’. His next films ‘Spinout’ and ‘Clambake’, however, saw his popularity wane with fans and critics alike.

Introduction to The Elvis

Elvis was a young, handsome man with a big heart, and that is what made him so endearing. He could make anyone feel he would protect them at any cost, and you could always count on his smile. But despite his popularity among the public, he only managed to live for twenty-one years before dying at the age of only 42. The world is grateful for every day he lived.

In a scathing post on Facebook, Elvis Presley’s second wife laments the new, inaccurate biopic about her late husband.

Priscilla Presley – the first woman to marry the singer – passed away in 1977 at age 36. The film is based on two books written by two authors who had no personal knowledge of the King’s life or death. Did they contact me while they were doing their ‘investigation’ or even ask me to participate in their project? … Of course not.
