AMC Coming Up With New Horror Adventurers Series ‘Walking Dead: Dead City’

The AMC is coming up with a new horror adventure series, which is titled “Walking Dead: Dead City”, which will feature characters from the Walking Dead. The show will be about an event that happened in the past that forever changed civilization. Two of the main characters are Negan, who’s played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Maggie, who’s played by Lauren Cohan. Cohan called the new series layered”. For almost two years now, “The Walking Dead” has been on cable and AMC networks. It was a record-breaking show for breaking records- making it one of those shows you’ll want to watch even if you don’t like zombies or blood. The show was centered on Rick Grimes and his family who were fighting for survival in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. This show first aired on October 31, 2010, and was based on a comic book series of the same name. The show was so successful that the creators decided to have a spin-off series. “Walking Dead: Dead City” will follow the story of Maggie and Negan as they go to a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, a place cut off from the mainland a long time ago.

What is the ‘Walking Dead’ about? 

The plot of this six-part series will be based on an event that happened in the past. Two main characters of the new series are Negan and Maggie who left their homes to seek a place with more safety. To escape danger, they will have to cross the gates. The authorities kept their people safe by killing those who tried to leave, but in the end, they were defeated by a deadly virus that was released from across the walls. They had no idea what it was at first, but as time passed they realized that almost everyone had lost his or her mind and became bloodthirsty monsters that ripped each other apart. This virus turned most people into “feeders”, who are unthinking creatures hungry for human flesh.

What fans are expecting from the upcoming series? 

“Dead City” will be quite different from the other series of “The Walking Dead”. Lauren Cohan said that it was a very intimate and layered story, but she didn’t give any details. She also added that it is about the city of New York, which proves that it won’t be like the previous series and that Negan and Maggie will have to fight for survival. It will be quite a challenge for Maggie and Negan, who are very different people. Moreover, Lauren Cohan mentioned that the series will be more dramatic than the previous series, but she didn’t give any hints about it.
