People have been waiting for Stranger Things Season 3 for what feels like an eternity, but the long wait is about to end. Netflix finally announced the release date on May 29th!

Netflix is home to a plethora of original programming that can’t be found on any other streaming service. Over the years, it has introduced hits like “House of Cards,” “Orange Is the New Black,” and “Narcos.” But few of its series have been as successful as “Stranger Things.”

“The X-Files,” and “Supernatural.” The series revolves around a group of friends who are reliving their high school years in the 1980s. They’re attempting to defeat a creature that has terrorized their small town of Hawkins, Indiana. The show is full of 80s nostalgia, while still retaining a modern sensibility.

The series also has its fair share of blood and gore. The violent scenes are likely what drew people in on the first viewing. The horror elements are also reminiscent of horror films that came out in the 80s and 90s including “Friday the 13th” and “Scream.
