The Netflix film starring Eddie Murphy has a new name and has added Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige to its cast for a sequel to “Beverly Hills Cop.”

The next Beverly Hills Cop movie will not just be a sequel, but it’ll also be a reboot. The sci-fi/action/comedy will be titled Bright and stars Eddie Murphy as the main character Daryl Ward. Original Beverly Hills Cop star and iconic film producer Martin Brest is not quite convinced of the idea so he went on to produce another sequel called Beverly Hills Cop 4:rationalized because it was easier for kids to understand this time around. This movie was later renamed ˜Beverly Hills Cops 2:Everyone Wants To Be Loved And Tolerated In –which sounds much better in my opinion thanks to the internet’s sarcasm detector.

The original film featured Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley, a street-smart Detroit cop on vacation in Beverly Hills. And now, it has been confirmed that Murphy will be returning for the sequel! It was announced that Joe Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige will also be joining him. The three of them are set to appear in possible sequels of both “Beverly Hills Cop” and “Beverly Hills Cop 2. Joe Gordon-Levitt was reportedly cast as Bobby “Iceman” DeFranco. Iceman is another Axel Foley character from the original film and is a drug dealer. Joe Gordon-Levitt was also in “500 Days of Summer” as well as the award-winning film “The Lookout”.

Taylor Paige will play Emily DeFranco, an undercover agent who will be getting involved in Axel Foley’s mission. Taylor Paige also appeared in several movies including “She’s The Man”, “Monster House”, and “Twilight: New Moon”. Beverly Hills Cop had a huge budget and was based on an adaptation of the television series.
