Hulu has announced that they’re casting one of the two lead roles in their upcoming show based on the book Devil in the White City: A Saga of Magic and Murder at the Fair That Changed America to Angel Keanu Reeves. The move will reunite Reeves with his Matrix and John Wick producer Steven Knight who’s producing through his company 2.0 Entertainment alongside Anonymous Content and Paramount Television. Nor is it unheard of for Keanu to take on extra costs for an entertaining project. After all, Reeves is a world-class film star and it’s not as if he’ll be doing a supporting role (or even lead) in this new show, which is based upon Erik Larson’s best-seller about the horrific murders that took place during the Chicago World’s Fair.

The show will tell the real-life tale of two serial killers, one who hunted down and killed women for their fingers to sell at American trade fairs and the other who slaughtered people for the fun of it with no apparent motive.
