Season 12 of Curb Your Enthusiasm will begin filming this fall

Curb Your Enthusiasm, the award-winning comedy series starring Larry David and Jeff Garlin is set to return with its 12th season. Production begins this fall and the show will premiere on HBO sometime in 2018.

The official press release goes on to say something like: “Curb Your Enthusiasm has been a critical piece of television over the past 12 seasons and when we set out to explore what comes next for these characters, we knew it was going to be special”.

The fact that Curb Your Enthusiasm is returning should be enough to excite any fan of the show, but given the less than sure chance at renewal in season 10, it’s a welcome relief. Plus, with the show in its twelfth season, it has a lot to live up to.

For Curb, Your Enthusiasm to still be funny after 12 seasons and 80 episodes (plus syndication), Larry David and his team need new material on which to base their episodes. Luckily for them (and us,), there are plenty of celebrity guests who would love nothing more than an appearance on the cult-favorite show.

It has been announced that the show would return for a 12th and final season

For nine seasons, the critically acclaimed HBO series aired on Sunday nights, and fans had to wait a whole week for each new episode. Lately, however, the show has only been airing one per year (other than an occasional encore episode). But as Entertainment Weekly reports this morning, there won’t be any more waiting – the show is coming back in October with Season 12.

There’s no word as to how many episodes will make up the new season. And at this point, with the nature of Larry David’s show, it’s not entirely clear what they’ll be about.
