Karl Urban of “The Boys” reveals a crucial cut scene from “Thor: Ragnarok.”

The Boys

It’s been revealed that the deleted Thor: Ragnarok scene with Karl Urban as Skurge was a key point for the movie. The actor shares what was in the scene and why it didn’t make it to theaters.

The Boys star Karl Urban recently opened up about his major role in Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok, and how he ended up leaving after only two days of filming. Urban says he learned that the studio didn’t have room for him because the scene in question was too busy.

In ComicBook.com’s exclusive interview, Urban explains that he was supposed to be Skurge for a short time during Ragnarok, but the scene he helped write wasn’t edited into the movie due to a lot of other activities happening at the same time. He details how it came together and what happened when he left. It sounds like “the deleted scenes are deleted,” as it appears his role was scrapped over a small piece of writing in favor of keeping Thor-Loki interactions tight.

Introduction to The Boys

Robert Cormier was born in 1925 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He had an older brother who died from illness when he was only two years old and a younger sister who died from cancer when he was twelve. His father also died of cancer when he was thirteen years old so his mother became his guardian until she passed away only six months later. Afterward, Cormier went to live with his godfather and then spent time at various boarding schools before joining the military during WWII as a gunner on B-25 bombers until 1945.
