The first episode aired on September 8th, 1966, and became an instant success. Star Trek became very popular in no time and was also nominated for Emmy Awards. The show ended after five seasons as Paramount Pictures decided to cancel it because they felt they already had enough money by making Star Trek into a successful franchise.

Story of The Strange New Worlds
“The Strange New Worlds episode is a 2017 episode of the Discovery TV show “Strange New Worlds with Ann Druyan” which tells about the life, discoveries, and impact of the astronomer Carl Sagan. The show was produced by Ann Druyan who also wrote the sequence”.
In 1974, when he was thirty-five years old, Sagan became internationally famous with his first book “Cosmos”—a thrilling personal report on science—and began a lifelong crusade to return knowledge to its rightful place in public appreciation. His cosmic perspective came from having grown up in Brooklyn with a love for both literature and science.
It’s now the most popular Star Trek show because of Strange New Worlds
“The Next Generation” was the first live-action show in the “Star Trek” franchise. And honestly, it’s not that great of a show when you look at it now.
But, the reason why the show is just so popular now is that we never got to see any real new worlds. With “Deep Space Nine”, we got to go visit Bajor and Risa; with “Voyager”, we saw more natural planets like Earth and Qo’nos; and with “Discovery,” we saw our first alien world in a long time…and fans were thrilled.
