What fans are expecting from the 2nd part?
Fans are expecting the second part of Dune to change the way they perceive the first part. While it is quite popular to think that Herbert’s science-fiction novel can be converted into a good film because of its epic theme, the first installment of the trilogy failed to live up to the expectations of movie-goers who were looking forward to it. However, this may change with the second movie. The first installment was widely praised for its cinematography and visual effects, but D’une Part two will go a step ahead since Villeneuve is set to direct and the cast is already a crowd favorite.
What makes this film interesting?
The second installment of the trilogy is bound to be very interesting seeing as the third movie will be based on the last part of Herbert’s opus, which is longer than the first one and also heaps with details and explanations. The director has also been talking about how he would like to use more music from composer Brian Tyler in Dune: Part two than in its predecessor. Villeneuve has stated that these three parts of Dune are not meant to be a trilogy but rather a single film.
What are the reviews?
Critics have also been raving about the sequel to the critically acclaimed sci-fi drama and have stated that the filmmakers are working hard to ensure that their work stands out from the first installment. Speaking about Dune: Part two, critics from The Hollywood Reporter said that Villeneuve does a good job of steering clear of the slow pace in Part One which made it boring for some people.
