MCU Upcoming Action Film ‘Avengers Secret Wars’

If you are a fan of Marvel’s Avengers movies, you’ll be excited to learn that the latest film in the series has been confirmed. Marvel announced this week that Avengers: Secret Wars will be coming out in 2024 and we now know who will be playing the villain. Kang The Conqueror has been named the villain of Avengers: Secret Wars. He is set to appear at a pivotal point during the film and cause quite a bit of harm but doesn’t get to do an awful lot (as his role was scripted). That said, many people were expecting Kang The Conqueror to play a bigger part in this film as he was also rumored for spin-offs from it. Kang The Conqueror made his Marvel Comics debut back in 1966. He first appeared in an issue of The Avengers where he was trying to take over the world. He then made his way to the pages of the Fantastic Four for a few years where he continued to do a lot of damage as well. It won’t be too long before We see Kang The Conqueror in action in Avengers: Secret Wars.

About The Kang The Conqueror?

Kang the Conqueror is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character, an alternate reality version of the time traveler Nathaniel Richards, is depicted as the greatest and most evil tyrant from Earth’s future who rules his empire with an iron fist. He is dedicated to conquering the 21st-century Marvel Universe, where he gains his powers by traveling back through time and studying a chronal variant of magic. Kang frequently clashes with the heroic Fantastic Four during their first encounter, but he soon shifts his attention toward another rival: Doctor Doom. This transition leads to numerous encounters with Richards’ young future self, Rama-Tut.

What fans are expecting from the upcoming film?

The first film in the series has been premiered as a teaser trailer released during the Super Bowl. Like most superhero films, it is set to be a big hit and will be a blockbuster. Higher-than-average critics scores and great word of mouth could make Avengers The Kang Dynasty a massive hit. As Marvel already has a slate of films scheduled for the next few years, there is not much left to do from an official standpoint. However, it seems that Marvel wants to see how this film is performing before they move forward with their plans. This makes sense as the first film had been in development hell for quite some time and this new series may likely continue that trend. Given the success of this first film, it is unlikely that future films will continue to be put into development hell. It will more than likely get a sequel relatively quickly. It is possible that this could be the start of something big for Marvel as they continue to develop new films and series based on their popular characters.

What makes this film interesting?

One of the best things about the film is that it is taking place in an alternate reality. The film will be split into two parts. The first part will start on Earth-616 and follow the major Marvel characters up to Secret Wars. After crossing into the Battleworld, the film will then follow some of the enemies of Earth-616 and end with Kang’s war with our heroes. As such, there are quite a few interesting dynamics that we can expect to see between heroes and villains in this particular film. Also, due to its setting in an alternate reality, there are quite a few possibilities for future movies after this one just based on Kang The Conqueror’s back history with many Marvel characters.

What will be the targeted audience?

One of the most important things about Avengers: Secret War is that it will be targeted toward both younger audiences and older audiences. With many of the characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe getting older, it is something that Marvel needs to think about. Changing up the setting to an alternate reality may be the solution for that problem as well. It could help to attract more viewers than ever before.
