What is the series about?
A young boy genius with some unique challenges is showcased as he navigates through life. That is the series in a nutshell, although the show does go into more detail. In the pilot episode, we see Sheldon Cooper as a young preteen and learn about his school situation. He goes to a public school and lives with his family, including his mother and father. We don’t get much of a glimpse at things at home but through the early episodes, we’re able to see that they are very close-knit. Sheldon is excelling academically but has some difficulties with social interactions, which leads to some issues at school and other places he goes throughout his day. He also has some challenges making friends and engaging in activities, but with his family by his side, he can maintain a sense of normalcy.
What fans are expecting from season 6?
We’re looking forward to seeing more struggles that Sheldon may have with socialization. We saw the Cooper family in crisis because of the unique circumstances they found themselves in, so it will be interesting to see how they’re going to manage without Sheldon’s mom. We’re also curious about whether or not Sheldon is going to stay in Texas and continue at his school or if he is going to try a new school or even move away from there as well. Fans can also expect some changes for some of the other characters on Young Sheldon, which could be interesting too, especially for those who have grown attached to them.
Who can watch this series?
Young Sheldon will be available for streaming on VOD and CBS All Access after the first two episodes air. This series features large amounts of profanity, sexual references, and some violence, so it is best suited for older viewers. It does not offer a clean version of the show. This series is also recommended for fans of The Big Bang Theory.
What are the audience reviews?
Young Sheldon has been a great success for CBS and it is clear that producers and writers have worked hard to be sure to give fans the best show possible. Almost all of the reviews are positive, with many fans saying that this is one of the best series they’ve seen in a long time. Some reviewers like how they can see Sheldon’s development as he grows into an adult but some also say that he needed more development in this area.
