What is the series about?

The series is based on the sagas of the Vikings and shows the Viking Age from their perspective. While we see epic battles and massive property, the series also explores what it was like to live as a Viking during these periods. They are people who lived in harmony with nature and enjoyed the simple things in life such as going fishing, sailing, or hunting. However, they also knew that no matter how much they did for others, they were still limited by their passions. The series shows that despite being one of the most powerful empires at that time, they didn’t have all of their dreams come true. Instead, they had to settle for what they could as they fought to unite their people and find their legacy. The series is also known for its depiction of the harsh existence of Viking culture during its period. Measured by the number of Viking funerals, periods which showed Vikings at their weakest were those when the Vikings had too many Greenlandic slaves, Irish slaves, Slavs, or pagans (i.e. after A.D. 1000).

What is interesting about the series?

It’s interesting because the series gives its viewers more than just the facts about what was going on during these times. Rather, it shows what life is like for a Viking from generation to generation. Even though they were now living in modern times, it showed that they still valued what was important to them during their time. For instance, after the death of Harald Sigurdson, his son exchanged a finalized battle plan with a Viking woman that he fell in love with. The series also showed that even though their empire was vast and powerful, there were always people who wished to rise and challenge them for power or move into the empire’s land for themselves.

Who can watch this series?

This series can be watched by anyone who loves an epic adventure. It shows the main characters going through various hardships to achieve what they want and how they feel about achieving it. It has great acting with a stellar cast as well as a well-done storyline. If you love great storytelling and are looking for a show that offers the saga of Vikings in a modern context, then this series is definitely worth your time.
