MCU’s Upcoming Series ‘Loki Season 2’ Is Lengthy and Bolder Than Before

Loki season two promises to be bigger and bolder than before. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Gugu Mbatha-Raw who portrays Ravonna Renslayer and Sophie on Loki talked about her roles in the new series respectively. Gugu Mbatha-Raw who represents Ravonna Renslayer said there is “so much more to come” than in the first season when she first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Gugu Mbatha-Raw let it known that while they are aware of what fans want to see from Ravonna, Sophie would have its storyline and so will be “bolder. She said: “Loki is big and bolder, more surreal. And I think that’s kind of how this world is so much bigger than we could ever even conceive.” She continued: “And it’s fascinating to be a part of. And I think that the fans should know they’re in for something really special.

What is the release date?

The upcoming series ‘Loki Season 2nd’ has no confirmed release date. we expect it to be released sometime in mid-2023

What is the series about? 

The series is set to be released on Disney+ before the next phase of MCU films where it will be a part of the same timeline. Loki, who is portrayed by Tom Hiddleston in the MCU, will lead the series, playing a role of an escaped prisoner so that he could leave “an indelible mark” on Asgard and Earth.  Season one of “Loki” focused on the character’s history as a trickster god with a connection to the Norse myths. Season two will take up his story once he returns to Earth following the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Much like its predecessor, it seems that season two will focus more on Loki’s struggles and the challenges that come along with being in an environment far from his home dimension. Gugu Mbatha-Raw who portrays Ravonna Renslayer said that she can’t reveal if Ravonna is indeed alive or dead, but did confirm her character’s presence in “Loki” season 2.

What are fans expecting from season 2? 

Fans are expecting that Ravonna will return to help Loki and the two will be on a road trip, much like in season one. However, fans are also expecting that the show will focus more on the other characters such as His Imperial Majesty Azur-Dan who is played by Peter Serafinowicz. As for the release date, the series is slated to be released on Disney+ before the next phase of MCU films where it will be a part of the same timeline. However, Disney and Marvel still haven’t given any real information on the release date of “Loki.” It is expected that it might be released between 2023 and 2024.

Who is the creator?

The series is created by Michael Waldron who is also the creator of original Marvel films like “Avengers: Secret Wars” and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse” and also ‘Loki’. 


What else makes this series interesting? 

During her interview with Entertainment Tonight, Gugu Mbatha-Raw also said that as an actor she loves to play characters with a certain amount of magic and that “Loki” season 2 has more magic than before. She said: “He’s still a trickster. And I think that’s appealing to me, it’s that little bit of magic and the world we’re in.” She continued: “And I think there are just so many challenges to him as a character. And I’m looking forward to trying to transform him into someone else in season 2.” Gugu Mbatha-Raw also let it known that she is very much excited about the challenges she will be facing as an actress this time around.
