A thrilling, action-packed thriller about Santa coming to life and wreaking havoc on New York City in the days of Christmas, Violent Night is expected to earn $10 million at the opening weekend. Writer-director and Stranger Things actor David Harbour’s Violent Night is an R-rated take on Santa Claus that sees the kindly North Pole inhabitant relocated to Manhattan, where he takes his bloody rage out on bad children. The film is budgeted at $20 million and comes in at a scant 112 minutes, but it’s not lacking in action. What is the film about?
Rampage Santas wreak havoc in New York City on Christmas Eve! A violent action-packed tale of a Santa Claus located in Manhattan that goes on a rampage against people who did wrong. On Christmas Eve, a team of mercenaries breaks into a family compound to retrieve a kidnapped member, but they’re not prepared for the surprises that await them. Led by self-proclaimed “boss” and alpha male Vic (Leguizamo), the crew must navigate a maze of Christmas trees in the pitch black while hiding from an enemy they can’t even see. Then, out of nowhere, comes Santa and he’s as violent as his enemies. As the group tries to escape Santa’s deadly wrath and make it out of the woods alive, they’ll be forced to confront their inner demons.
What makes this film interesting?
The interesting thing about this film is the element of surprise, in going up against a man who is always believed to be a good guy. The idea of using Santa Claus as an antagonist is different from the conventional Christmas films. This film will add a whole other layer to the traditional stories about Santa Claus and his elves, reindeer, and the North Pole. To me, this film is a Christmas movie that fans of Santa Claus will enjoy. It’s also a great film for the whole family.
What are the reviews?

Some people also said that the film had a lot of violence, but most of them considered it a smart and creative concept for the film.
Who can watch this film?
This is a film for everyone. It will have some violence in it, but it’s a whole lot of fun and the tone of the film has been well-balanced and entertaining. I would recommend this film to my family and friends.
