Netflix Release A New Crime Documentary TV Series ‘Crime Scene: The Texas Killing Fields’ A Field Where 4 Dead Bodies Were Found

This week, Netflix released a new crime documentary-TV series called “Crime Scene: The Texas Killing Fields”. In 1991 another dead body was found; since then the field became known as “The Killing Fields” by local media. The first installment was “Crime Scene: The Killing Fields; it premiered on Netflix in February 2021 and focused on the infamous murders of Elisa Lam at the Cecil Hotel. What is the series about?

The documentary series is basically about a deceptive serial killer who was active in the ’80s. He was called ‘The Killer Clown’ because of his habit of dressing up as a clown and wearing a friendly mask to lure his victims, and then he would kill them and dump their bodies in this particular field. The killer struck four times between 1980-1991, and all the murders were unsolved for a long time until two years ago when some new developments in the case were made by police. The series’ main focus is on Souder, a narcotics officer, an ex-Marine who was always searching for the killer clown. He has to do a lot of fieldwork, investigating other cases and trying to solve this one as well as looking for clues. Each episode will focus on a new case, and highlight the tragedies committed by each killer. The men who were convicted are all said to be serial killers. The victims were all murdered between the years 1980 and 1991.

What makes this documentary different from others?

The documentary series can be considered as a combination of ‘Making a Murderer’, ‘Berkley’s Unabomber’, and ‘Mindhunter’ since it has almost the same subject matter. Unlike other documentaries that are narrated by only one person, this one is narrated by multiple people which makes it possible for more information to be provided to the audience. It also has more than one victim’s story instead of just focusing on one. The series is about both past and present crimes which gives the audience a better understanding of what happened with no confusion.

Why should you watch this series?

The series is more than just another television episode since it has an interesting plot. It can give a lot of information and facts about the case and this particular killer. It will make you want to find out more about the killers and their crimes. As for the Netflix originals, this is a very good choice for this month because it will help you discover new things about American culture, crimes, and murders in general.
