If you love Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special’, Disney+ has just released it for your viewing pleasure. This exclusive ‘Guardians of the Galaxy spinoff is set to release on November 25, 2022. In the latest Marvel film from the MCU, essentially all of our heroes are preparing to celebrate the festival. This means that they are all back on Earth and celebrating at the Nova Corps’ headquarters for a festive occasion when things get interrupted by both The Abilisk and Krampus. Along with making them encounter these two very different creatures, this holiday special also sets up some very important story trees that will continue with 2019s Avengers. Guardians of the Galaxy’s Peter Quill and his pals have gotten another special which will be available exclusively on Disney+, the studio’s new streaming service. This cute little Christmas Special was directed by James Gunn, but the cast usually consists of actors that you have probably not heard of. The plot of this special is rather insignificant and silly, but it does align nicely with especially 2019s Avengers End Game.

What is the film about?
The film has the Guardians celebrating Christmas at the Nova Corps base. They are interrupted by both Yondu and Krampus, two very different threats. This causes them to become distracted from their attempts to celebrate an important moment in their lives. Then, they have to fight for survival as they realize that their home planet is in danger. It is not a very exciting plot by any means but it does set some rather interesting things up for Avengers End Game. This can be moved into the 2019s film without much effort because it was designed with that in mind. It might well-written be a nice reward for reaching the end of this huge saga of films over the last eleven years.
What makes this film interesting?
The film does have some very funny scenes and performances. It is not the most well-written film in the MCU, but it is a very cute one and it is nice to watch. This special presents the Guardians as a family that is trying to celebrate Christmas while they are at war with some of their most dangerous enemies ever. As they try to do this, they also have to be on their utmost guard due to recent events in the 2019s Avengers End Game.
Who can watch this film?
The film was released today, November 25, and can be rented or purchased from Disney. This is an exclusive film that can only be viewed on Disney and given that you are subscribed to this new service, there should not be any issues watching the film for free within a month of its release.
Why should I watch this film?
It is short, cute, and amusing. It ties in nicely with the 2019s Avengers End Game and it has some interesting plot-line advancements throughout the last eleven years of MCU films. It is also one of several original Marvel projects that will be available exclusively on Disney+.
