“All Quiet on the Western Front” Movie Review

This movie is based on a book of the same name by Erich Maria Remarque. Many people would think that the title of this book, “All Quiet on the Western Front” would have been a clear reference to just how inactive and calm the front has been. However, nothing could be farther from the truth. This is not a book about war and peace; it is a story of hope and death, of man’s blind obedience to orders, no matter how senseless they may be. The author Erich Maria Remarque has brilliantly created an utterly convincing picture of what it means for youth to live in a world where everything is at stake.

What makes this movie interesting to watch?
The movie is based on the famous novel, “All Quiet on the Western Front” by Erich Maria Remarque. It presents a classic scenario of the Private Meets War. This movie uses various techniques to make clear the point that war is not a game, war is not manly, war is ugly and cruel. The impact of this film makes clear that young soldiers don’t really understand why they are fighting in a war. They are sent to kill other people and then they are killed themselves.
What do critics say about this movie?
Most of the reviews seem to agree that this movie is dealing with a profound subject, even though it is rather heavy. The movie’s theme is also found in a number of other films. An example of this was in the movie “Paths of Glory,” which deals with the French war and has a very strong anti-war message.
Why should you watch this movie?
“All Quiet on the Western Front” is one of the most talked about films of all time. The critics have called it a classic anti-war movie, even though it is not really a war movie, it reflects the nature of war and its impact on soldiers. It tells us that young soldiers don’t really understand why they are fighting in a war. They are sent to kill other people and then they are killed themselves. This film portrays these soldiers as “Good Germans” who have been sent to die for an ungrateful country that only wants to benefit from their lives without accommodating them in any way.
