Every episode of Zootopia+ has a different story but all are hilarious and delightful, featuring songs and spoofs on a range of topics from The Real Housewives to The Godfather. And while it’s intended for kids as well as adults, kids will love any episode that features Judy Hopps or Nick Wilde. What is the series Zootopia about?
Zootopia is a city where every animal is equal. There are no predators, no prey. It’s a place where every type of species lives together in harmony. Judy Hopps and her parents are on their way to the city when they get lost and end up in the slums of the city. Judy ends up joining the police force, but she wants to be a zookeeper because it’s her dream job. She applies for a position at Zootopia Wildlife Preserve and even though she gets rejected because she doesn’t have any experience with animals, someone else does have: Nick Wilde, who also applied for the same position as Judy Hopps. When Nick is hired as a park ranger, he brings a new perspective to the city and its animals. The original movie Zootopia came out in 2016 and Disney released it on March 4th, 2016. The film received great reviews from critics and audiences and follows Judy Hopps, the first rabbit to join the Zootopia National Police Academy.
What makes this series exciting?
Zootopia+ is a great animated series for kids, especially those who love Disney’s original films. The comedy and songs are entertaining; the animation is gorgeous. But what makes this series so exciting is the more mature subject matter it deals with. The first episode, “The Real Housewives of Zootopia,” pokes fun at reality TV shows like the Real Housewives of New York City while tackling bigger issues such as immigration and racism. Plus, the characters from Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde can’t be beaten. They’re funny and lovable, even with their flaws (like Nick’s tendency to get into trouble).
Is this series for kids?
In addition to the more mature subject matter, Zootopia+ is meant for kids. The show features a lot of songs and fun skits that even the littlest kids will enjoy. Plus, the humor for kids is already there; the more mature subject matter is a bonus for parents who can enjoy the show even more with their kids.
