Detective Knight: Redemption is coming soon, and it’s sure to have all the twists and turns you’d expect from a Hollywood blockbuster. But hold on, this isn’t your typical action-packed film about The Avengers or Mission Impossible this entry into the detective genre is going to be uniquely different. Instead of an action-packed film about superheroes fighting evil, we get an intense thriller set in a thrilling world with twists that will leave you wanting more of it. There’s never been a better time to take your detective skills up a notch with Detective Knight: Redemption on its way this fall. Detective Knight: Redemption is a part of the larger Detective Knight film series that also featured movies like Willis’ 2017 entry in the trilogy, The Fall and Rise of Det. John Knight as well as Det. Knight: Redeemer in 2018. To be clear, though, the story for each chapter of these action-packed films is completely different even though they all feature an alcoholic detective named James Knight.

What is the film about?
Detective Knight: Redemption follows the story of Detective James Knight (Willis), who is in custody in New York. In the movie, there are terrorists called the Christmas Bombers, who are responsible for bombings throughout the city that go awry because they try to celebrate Christmas too early. The Christmas Bombers want their statues and signs, but they also want to get Knight out of their way so he can’t protect them. In return for getting his badge back, James promises them a Christmas miracle and that’s exactly what he delivers. Willis’ Knight has already been featured in three Detective Knight films, but Redemption is the first one that features him set in the real world. The other two were set in a completely different universe, and both had Willis playing different characters.

What makes Detective Knight: Redemption unique?
It’s quite simple. The main character is not just a detective, but also a criminal! As part of their witness protection program, criminals go undercover and work as hitmen for crime bosses. One of these bosses is called The Christmas Bomber, who has an army of Santa Claus disciples terrorizing the city on December 24 every year. The original story was first featured as an ebook by Willis titled Detective Knight: Vengeance and was later made into a movie with Willis reprising his role.
What is the film rated?
Detective Knight: Redemption is rated R. In this case, that’s not because of sexual content or language. The rating is simply because of the intensity of certain scenes which could be too intense for kids under 17. The violence in the film is brutal, and it may include gory effects, blood, or even partial nudity or sensuality. Still, this movie has a lot to offer in terms of its overall action and energy. It’s an edge-of-your-seat thriller that will have you holding your breath until the very end.
