When an American pop singer tries to make it big in Berlin as an international star, he must learn to speak German, find and connect with his roots, and most importantly find the right sound. This coming-of-age comedy series that is set against the backdrop of a music competition will teach you how not to be a human jukebox. Bumper, a young American pop singer, travels to Berlin to revive his music career after one of his songs becomes big in Germany. The series centers around Bumper’s experiences while forging a new relationship with himself and his peers as he navigates through German culture.

What is the series based upon?
Bumper’s experiences come to terms with who he re and how to find himself between all the influences around him. The series will be based on the life of Leander Moerder, a 30-year-old German singer and songwriter. Bumper may not have an amazing singing voice, but he does have a good heart. He is looking for a break in his music career, so he travels to Berlin where he meets up with the love of his life, Svenja. Since her dad doesn’t want her to date an American, they make their relationship push-and-pull like they do in every relationship. Eventually everything kind of works out just fine.
