Severance Season 2 is currently underway and the cast just keeps on growing to make it a truly entertaining watch. Joining the cast include Gwendoline Christie, John Noble, Bob Balaban, Michael McMillian and Joel Murray. These are some of the most well-known actors within the industry today so it’s no surprise that they’re joining this show if you’re watching or looking forward to Season 2. The show’s creator and writer Dan Erickson is back as the executive producer, also. Other executive producers include Lorne Michaels from Broadway Video, as well as Stiller, Stuart Cornfeld and Trevor Engelson. Production for Season 2 kicked off earlier this month in New York. This is pretty much what happens to the Lumon employees at the end of Season 1, so we don’t know exactly how they’re going to continue with the story. We have an idea but it’ll all be revealed when the show comes out this fall on Apple TV+.
Currently this show is under production and so no confirmed date of release has been announced yet.
Who is in the cast?
This is a cast of some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Gwendoline Christie, John Noble, Bob Balaban, Michael McMillian and Joel Murray and some more are there. It’s not exactly a surprising cast but it’s still awesome to see some of the actors in ‘Severance’ out there.
What is the series about?
This is a darkly comedic sci-fi drama following a group of employees who work at a memory-erasing company, who are trying to erase their own memories after they discover the sinister truth behind their employer’s product. It’s also an exploration of our own minds and how they work, as we see what happens to the employees after they erase their memories. And it’s a show that deals with the ongoing theme of ‘memory erasure’ or ‘mind control’. The series deals with the way that technology can be used to manipulate human behaviour through the use of technology, which allows people to forget certain traumatic events in their lives, or erase parts of their memory for future reference.
What are we expecting from season 2?
Season 2 of ‘Severance’ is the continuation of a story that has already been started and we want to see what happens with the story. How will Randy, Brenda and the other members of the Lumon team adapt to their ‘new normal’. We wanted to know more about this company and if there are more like them out there. We also wanted to see what happens in ‘real life’ after they erase their employees’ memories, so we kept on asking questions like how will they live their lives knowing that they have been erased.
Our views on this series:
We think it is quite a successful series. It’s because it deals with issues that everyone notices about themselves when they look at the world around them. We like how this show takes those thoughts and runs with them, explores those questions, making them more important and putting a story around the thoughts for the audience. It’s an interesting way to think about the world that we live in today, especially when technology advances so quickly.
