Billy Eichner The Writer Of The Film ‘Bros’ Reacts To Box Office Result

The Writer of the film Bros, Billy Eichner, reacted to its box office results with disappointment. Though the film underperformed at the box office it was still a success with many people loving it and having a good time. Eichner tweeted last night that he was “proud” of the work he did on the big screen and that “most people” walked out laughing. However, this created some controversy as some other Twitter users suggested that Eichner should not be proud of his work on a movie that doesn’t do well financially. Others tried to defend his comment by saying how much everyone loves Bros. This film has been criticized for having an ill-conceived plot and poor humor. Although, some people praised it for its diversity and the inclusion of gay actors. The production budget was $22 million, which shows how much money was poured into this film. The movie was heavily marketed as well before its release to theatres. It didn’t do as well as many anticipated but it still matches up with other movies that also weren’t very successful in terms of profit (comparatively).

What is the film about?
The premise of “Bros” revolves around two men with commitment problems attempting a relationship. Bobby Lieber, a radio personality from Brooklyn with a penchant for grandiose speeches, has just accepted a position as the curator of the National LGBTQ+ History Museum’s opening exhibit on LGBTQ+ figures throughout time. After attending an awards ceremony for the LGBTQ community and announcing his position at the museum. The film’s romanticism and overall fun vibe may alienate some audiences who go for dark and realistic films like Boy Erased, which just beat Bros in its opening weekend to become the highest-grossing LGBTQ film of 2022 so far.
Review of the movie:
“Bros” is surprisingly well-written and well-executed, as are its actors. The film is both an in-your-face comedy and a heartwarming romance, featuring two men who both have problems with commitment. I enjoyed the amount of cleverness in the writing, as well as the recurring jokes. There are also many special features, which are great fun to watch. If you’re looking for a fun, emotional, and sometimes unbelievable film that can work as a portal to explore the LGBTQ+ community, this is it.
