‘Harry Potter’ The Big Giant Hagrid Is No More
Robbie Coltrane, who played the beloved character of Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter series and was 51 years old when he started in his role in 2001, has died. Who is Hagrid?
Hagrid, who was first introduced in the book series in 1995, was a caretaker when Harry and his friends were on their quest to find Horcruxes. He was portrayed by Robbie Coltrane. He has a rather large nose and is also known as “The Big Hagrid.” In 2001, he appeared in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as well as in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) where he helped lead Harry away from Dementors. After that, Hagrid disappeared for 7 years with little information about what happened to him.
