What is the movie Based Upon?
The Matrix film is so well known that many people have seen it multiple times. The Matrix is based on a philosophical concept called the Simulation Hypothesis. This hypothesis proposes that we are living in some kind of computer simulation controlled by sentient machines. The movie has been criticized for being vague, relying on suspension of disbelief, and not being science-fiction enough since what we are seeing is supposedly real but we can’t tell because it’s “enclosed inside another universe or something .” And obviously, there seems to be no way to confirm this with the scientific method because there’s no way to prove it.
