What is good about the movie?

Lou is an excellent film to watch with a good screenplay, an excellent storyline, and good acting. Not only does it have a terrific cast but also a lot of good cast performances. You can see that in many of their faces as they struggle with their demons and emotions. This makes it easy for the audience to sympathize with them and feel for them when they get into difficult situations.

What is bad about the movie?

I would say that, if you’re expecting an action movie in this then it’s not as action-packed as you would think. They show some of the action scenes but it’s more like an ordinary detective/whodunit so for those who like something a bit more action-packed then you may be disappointed because there is nothing. There are also some plot holes but they are negligible and are not enough to get irritated with.

What makes this movie interesting to watch?

Lou is predominantly about how a mother deals with the abduction of her child. There are some interesting twists and turns that make it an interesting film to watch. The first half is slow, but it’s the last portion of the film where the suspense builds up and keeps you at the edge of your seat. You cannot help wondering what will happen next as more secrets are revealed, twists and turns occur; things get more intense with each passing minute. The abductor gives you a sense that he/she can do anything to escape detection. You cannot help feeling terrified and anxious about what might happen next. The mother’s scenes, when she is not in pursuit of her daughter’s abductor, are almost like a movie within a movie. You get the sense that she is lost because she doesn’t know who she is or where she came from, but when the chase resumes, there are many surprises. You can feel her frustration as she tries to find her child and also you can feel her fear as the fear mounts up in the kidnapping scenario itself.
