The new trailer for ‘Tr’ has Cate Blanchett as the lead in Todd Field’s return to the big screen

The new trailer for ‘TÁR’ is out and it features a role that may well reveal Cate Blanchett’s best performance yet. Todd Field, director of the highly underrated ‘Little Children’, returns with his first movie since that classic. ‘Tár’ is set in 13th-century Ireland and stars Cate Blanchett as a woman caught up in a complicated love triangle with two brothers while their kingdom is being invaded by the English. The film looks to be a beautiful, intimate drama that could be a big return to form for the director and star.
Introduction of The TÁR
The Tár is an ancient symbol of the Irish nation. It has a multitude of meanings and it’s used frequently to represent Ireland in most contexts abroad, like on passports or in international sports events. It’s also been used as a shirt logo by several British and American soccer teams, notably Aston Villa. The Tár was also used as a symbol in the Easter Rising and is featured on the republican memorial to those who died in the fight for Irish independence. It represents Ireland fighting for freedom, and thus it is used to represent other movements fighting against a common oppressor. For over 400 years it has been used by those oppressed by a foreign power.
