You should get ready: “Breaking Bad” is the title of the upcoming Better Call Saul episode

The next episode of Better Call Saul is entitled “Breaking Bad”. It takes place after Chuck’s death and in the time leading up to the first episode. In the latest episode of Better Call Saul, we are shown a flashback with Jimmy McGill and his old friend Marco Pasternak – they are both somewhere on an island, probably in Greece. The two seem to be more like friends than business partners. Jimmy has just sold a fake ‘Pollard’ painting to another tourist and promises Marco that their bosses will never know it was counterfeit.

Introduction to The Better Call Saul

Better Call Saul is an American television drama series. The story follows the character of Saul Goodman, a lawyer who assists the criminal element. It was created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, with “Breaking Bad”‘s producer, Sony Pictures Television. The show premiered in the US on February 8th on AMC and in Canada on CTV and has been renewed for a fourth season ahead of its third season premiere.

Sonia Saraiya of Variety described the first season as following “the transformation of Jimmy McGill into the sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman, a Breaking Bad character and one half of the show’s title. Michael McKean played Jimmy McGill’s brother, Chuck McGill”. Todd VanDerWerff wrote in Vox that “Better Call Saul is not quite a prequel to Breaking Bad, and yet it somehow manages to be darker and more tragic than its predecessor”. In this season we also follow Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), who was a recurring character in Breaking Bad. The second season featured more of Mike Ehrmantraut and expanded upon his backstory, but it is still centered around Jimmy McGill.

Story of The Better Call Saul

Somewhere out there, Chuck and Howard are watching Jimmy McGill transform into Saul Goodman. They’re probably pretty excited to hear that Better Call Saul has its fourth season on the way. When we first introduced audiences to this no-good con artist back in 2008, he was a smarmy schlub with a paper route who had some unique ideas about how to survive in an ethically murky business.

As the series progressed, we’ve seen Jimmy become more cunning and self-aware while still staying true to his mischievous roots. He’s always a little bit conniving and a lot bit self-serving, but along the way, he’s helped out his friends and even saved their lives. At this point, we can see that Jimmy McGill is just beginning to take on the personality traits that make Saul Goodman such an interesting character. So where could that transformation take him? Will he end up as the hilarious con artist with a heart of gold we saw in Breaking Bad? Or will he become something else altogether?

Fans of Better Call Saul are in a “meltdown” at a crucial character’s “jarring” recasting

Whether you are a long-time fan, or new to the scene, you’ve likely been following the cast. But if you’re like many of Better Call Saul’s viewers and passionate fans, you might be experiencing some sense of shock, disbelief, and disappointment. The Breaking Bad spin-off has undergone quite a bit of change in its first two seasons due to Vince Gilligan’s departure from showrunners (from which he had always planned to step down). There is widespread speculation that these changes were instigated by Gilligan’s replacement Peter Gould and executive producer Melissa Bernstein.
