Story of The Locke & Key Season 3

It’s been a long time coming for writer Joe Hill and artist Gabriel Rodriguez since their breakout hit The Walking Dead, but it’s finally happened! They’ve announced that season three has begun production on June 7th with a new 10-episode order! The best part about this story is we get to do something different,” says Hill. “We don’t have to go back into the zombie apocalypse again.”.

Back in 2010, Universal Cable Productions ordered Locke & Key, a family drama wrapped in a horror story. Rodriguez came up with the concept, and Hill said the first thing he saw was Gabriel’s artwork (see below). The 10-episode series debuted to an audience of 2.4 million viewers for its premiere on August 2nd, 2013. It only ran for one short season before it was canceled by Fox. The project was still supported by both the television studio and production company, Cryptic Pictures. Locke & Key writer Meredith Averill told us “We tried to find another home for [Locke & Key], and we thought we had one pretty close a couple of times. But it never worked out.
