Nope, Dolby is a new immersive music/art project from the Amsterdam-based artist duo Static Launch. In partnership with Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum, they recently unveiled a 10-meter poster installation of their 3D Dolby soundscapes and geometric compositions. “The audio is a stream of randomly generated beats, playing at a regular 60 bpm. We are making Dolby out of the bass, cord, and listener.”

The storyline of The Nope

The Nope is a psychological thriller/drama and the debut novel by John Kalfus. The book, released in 2017, focuses on the relationships of four siblings who band together after their father commits suicide. In a review for The Guardian, author Tom Ruchti said the book “employs all the resources of a nightmare” to take its readers on an emotional journey. And in an interview with Vulture Magazine, Kalfus said he decided to write about “the topic that people don’t want to talk about. The topic of suicide and how it affects a family”. The book has been compared to the works of Stephen King and Gillian Flynn, and in 2018 it was dubbed “the first great American horror novel” by The New York Times.

“The Nope” is the story of four siblings. Each of them brings a different personality and life experience when dealing with their father’s suicide

Jordan Peele may be the film world’s newest golden boy, but that doesn’t mean he’s willing to categorize his latest work as anything other than a “spectacle”. The Academy Award-winning director of getting Out is teaming up with Paramount Pictures for the world’s first interactive film. When asked about what separates his movie from its peers– such as Black Panther and Godzilla: King of Monsters– Peele used the word “spectacle” twice. “It has a lot to do with the fact that film is a spectacle,” Peele explained to Entertainment Weekly during an interview from the set of Us. “That’s really what it is. It’s an experience, and this is another way to have a completely different experience.” The Oscar-nominated director also joked he doesn’t want his name paired with the word “interactive”. He called the Google logo that pops up on computers when someone types in “interactive movie” a “terrifying image.
