Molly Novak is broken. There’s no getting around it. So when the opportunity arises for her to get aid from a charitable foundation, she jumps at it. What starts as a way to escape the public eye morphs into something much more sinister: a web of manipulation, lies, and betrayal that threatens Molly’s very sanity. While the author (Daniel H Jensen) remains anonymous, the philanthropic foundation and its mysterious benefactor are not. Known as ‘The Board’ they care deeply about Molly and her issues, even though they know nothing of her past or what she’s been through.

The plot is about how a wife tries to overcome her husband’s betrayal. She does this through help from the famed philanthropic foundation, ‘The Board’. They give her money, a place to live, and a companion to help her recover. Unfortunately, she finds that the motive of The Board is not at all what she thought it was.

The cast includes Maya Rudolph, Mj Rodriguez, Sarah Hyland, and Debra Winger as Molly Novak. Maya Rudolph portrayed the role of Molly. A divorced company owner with a troubled past. MJ Rodriguez represents the role of Mark, her husband. A struggling artist with a bad gambling habit. Sarah Hyland is the role of Sarah, the daughter of Molly and Mark’s marriage. A successful hostess and director in New York City. Debra Winger portrays the role of Hannah, Molly’s friend, and co-worker at the company she owns.

What are the difficulties they face?

The first difficulty is to escape the media attention. To do so Molly has to travel around the country, hiding in plain sight. She finds this new life exhilarating, despite all the problems that arise from it, such as relationships with family and friends. The second problem is when she thinks that she has found a friend in a woman named Sophia played by Mj Rodriguez. But Sophia turns out to be an undercover reporter who takes advantage of her newfound friendship with Molly to get a story on her.

Who is the antagonist? What are its motives?

The antagonist of the movie is ‘The Board’. The board is a group of people who are so powerful they could destroy your life and career with just a few words. They have no problem doing it because they’re so wealthy they can do anything they want. The board is also in complete control of the philanthropic foundation, which provides Molly’s aid in the wake of her husband’s betrayal. The end has a very scary scene when Molly is found by ‘The Board’. They drugged her and had her waiting for them, the entire time she thought it was someone else. They do this because they want to know why she’s so important to their biggest rival. This is where they find out she has a son, which they use to blackmail her into stealing information from their biggest competitor and giving it to them.

Who is the most loved character?

The most loved character would be Molly Novak, the main protagonist. She is a very likable person and can easily capture the pity of an audience because of her situation. Her character also has an arc where she goes through a change and learns how to accept herself. The theme of the story is to accept yourself, no matter what you’ve done. Molly starts off hating herself and feeling as though she doesn’t deserve any happiness for her mistakes. This causes her to seek out new hobbies and try new things which help her feel like a whole person again.

Would you recommend watching this?

This was a very good movie. It had excellent acting, and dramatic scenes and was overall very entertaining. The entire audience burst into applause after the final scenes ended.
