The future is very different from what humans are used to today. In this civilization’s distant past, there were only three inhabited planets in our solar system— Earth , Mars and Venus . But then came a time when these spacefaring people began colonizing deeper into explored territory. Soon afterwards though something happened that would change humanity forever. An international dispute over mineral rights led countries on both sides of the ring fence (that surrounded planet) into all out war with one another!

The cast of the show includes Dominique Tipper , Steven Strait , Wes Chatman , and Shohreh Aghdashloo .

Dominique Tipper played the role of Naomi Nagata, a Belter born and raised in the asteroid belt. Steven Strait played the role of James Holden, an Earther who served as the captain of an ice hauler before being drafted into the Martian military. Wes Chatman played the role of Amos Burton, a former Marine from Earth who served as the mechanic on Holden’s ship. Shohreh Aghdashloo played the role of Chrisjen Avasarala, a high-ranking politician in the Earth government.
