It’s finally here! Peaky Blinders Season 6. Has premiered and it is sure to be another hit. If you’re not familiar with the show, it follows the Shelby family. As they navigate through the world of organized crime in Birmingham, England in the 1920s. The show has a great cast of characters. And an interesting plot that will keep you hooked. Season six will see Tommy Shelby face some of his biggest challenges. Yet as he tries to escape the mob and build a new life for himself. It has been confirmed that there will be three new actors joining the cast including Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), Brian Gleeson (Logan Lucky) and Neil Maskell from Killing Eve fame.

The plot is rumoured to follow Tommy. As he sets up a new business in America.  While trying to stay one step ahead of the Mafia. There will also be new alliances and enemies formed. So it looks like we’re in for another action-packed season!

The themes of the new season are that Tommy Shelby is trying to leave his criminal past behind and start a new life with Grace Burgess. Some critics have said it’s going to be difficult for him because he has so much blood on his hands, but others believe there will still be some violence involved in this process- just not as much as in previous seasons.

What message does the series give?

The overall message of the series is that crime doesn’t pay. Even though the Shelby family are criminals, they always end up losing in the end. This is a lesson that many people can learn from- no matter how bad your situation seems, you’re not going to get ahead by resorting to criminal activity.

What awards did the series win?

The series won an Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography and was nominated again this year but lost out to Game of Thrones. It also received two Golden Globe nominations, including Best Television Series – Drama which went home empty-handed thanks to Breaking Bad taking that top honour instead. The show has been nominated several other times since then as well including a BAFTA nomination for Best Drama Series.
