What are the themes of the film?

The movie is based on the Icelandic Eddas, which are a collection of ancient Norse sagas. They tell stories about the gods and goddesses that were worshipped in Iceland at this time period. These sagas also tell us what life was like back then as well as how people thought their world worked around them. One theme from these sagas is that of fate.

Many people in the sagas believe that their destiny is already written for them and they cannot change it. This theme can be seen when Amleth talks to his mother about his father’s death. She believes that even though his father is dead, he will still be avenged. Another theme that can be found in the movie and sagas is revenge. This theme shows how people from this time period were not afraid to get revenge on those who wronged them or their loved ones.

Which is the best scene in the film?

I enjoy watching the scene where Amleth’s brother and his crew finally arrive at the house that Ragnar has been staying in. The Vikings are furious with each other for killing their father, but they realize they need to help one another out so they can survive this new threat. They decide not only to fight together against Ragnar’s men but to also take back what is rightfully theirs. This scene is full of action, and it’s great to see all the characters working together towards a common goal.

What do critics have to say?

Critics have praised The Northman for its excellent fight scenes and well-developed characters. Some reviewers felt that the plot was a little slow in the beginning, but they were overall impressed with the film.

What is the ending like?

The ending of The Northman is a little bit confusing and hard to follow at times. However, it’s definitely worth seeing if you are interested in Norse mythology or have seen other films based on the same literature. It’s also good for those who want something different from the typical Hollywood blockbuster movie.
