What is in the series?
In 1996, a team of New Jersey high school soccer players travels to Seattle for a national tournament. While flying over Canada, their plane crashes deep in the wilderness and the remaining team members are left to survive for nineteen months. The series chronicles their attempts to survive while also tracking their current lives in 2021. In the series finale, the survivors of the plane crash finally return home to their families. Their bond is stronger than ever and they are all ready to face whatever the future holds. They have learned from their past mistakes and grown as individuals. This means that they can handle anything that comes their way.

The villain in this story is PTSD. It has caused so much pain and destruction for Josh and Jenna. Izzy has also been affected by it, but she has been able to overcome it. Dean has also been affected, but he hasn’t let it stop him from achieving his goals.
What are the Lessons Learned?
The biggest lesson that has been learned is that you can’t give up on someone just because they have PTSD. You need to be there for them and support them through their journey. You also need to be patient because it takes time for them to heal.
