The plot is still unclear at this point because production has not begun yet on Furiosa; however, it’s possible that the story could revolve around Charlize Theron’s character from Mad Max: Fury Road since she stole a war rig full of gasoline cans with one driver dead after being hung from his post. Mad Max rescues Furiosa from the evil tyrant Immortan Joe who is hellbent on reclaiming her as a concubine, and they join forces to escape across the Wasteland with what remains of his despicable army in tow.

Mad Max Spinoff “Furiosa” Potential Storyline and Plot Arc

The screenplay is written by George Miller and Brendan McCarthy, with storyboards created by Nico Lathouris & Mark Sexton. It will be based around an older Mad Max living in a world where water is scarce. His hope of surviving this harsh land lies within his ability to repair vehicles, one day fixing up a V12 Interceptor that was once used during the war.

Mad Max will be joined with a female protagonist, Furiosa. A trusted ally who has been sent out to retrieve gasoline for their survival and safe passage back home. It is unknown what the relationship between Mad Max and Furiosa entails as of yet, but it is believed she could have saved him from certain death at some point in time after the fall of society during the apocalypse.
